Dancing

This year I finally followed the advice that men should learn to follow, seriously. It changed the way I see tango.

I finally became much clearer about what the differences in styles are, what rules can be bent, which can be broken and which can't. And ended up much happier for it.

Having finally sorted out my posture, I transitioned away from the suit, to more of a smart casual look, which frankly I'm a lot more comfortable in.

Contributing

I've reached the stage where what I'd write about is too difficult to express in words and to specific to me - you'd need my mental furniture to understand it; otherwise you'd end up with misleading interpretations. So I went through all I've written on this site, checked that it still made sense and made the necessary corrections.

Tango at Ceroc

I think I may have finally reached the end of the road with Ceroc...

Moments

Feeling the follower's heart beating for the first time.

Following a vals and a milonga for the first time.

Quotes

  • "You're good" - said to me with surprise and confusion
  • "I've got my innocent face on"
  • "You get on well with Canaro tangos"
  • "Canaro tangos just really aren't my thing. I mean it's lovely dancing with you, but if you wanted to just stand still for the rest of this song, that'd be fine with me!"
  • "Ah there's one foot....and there's the other"
