Dance or not one bloke's honest attitude to dancing

Why would I dance with you?
Ladies, as a man I will consider dancing with you
- If I look at you or ask you or indicate to you that I want to dance with you
- Or if you look at me or ask me or indicate to me that you want to dance with me
Because
I either want to dance with you, I am able to dance with you or I am duty bound to dance with you
Absolutely regardless of your height, weight, colour or age
Why would I not dance with you?
- Maybe it's because I don't like you - you hurt me last time when we danced (I remember that)
- You don't give me a good dance - I only like dancing bad dances with, well, friends, mates
- You're a bloody pest - whether you can dance or not!
- I don't know you - you asked me of the blue and I said yes but my heart and soul was not in it
- I get tired, I needed the loo, I just don't want to dance at this time - why won't you believe me?
Also, do you know
When there is a gender 'imbalance' at the venue we are at (i.e: too many ladies attending)
The fixed partners will stay 'fixed' - It's nothing personal mind, even when I dance with you regularly
I won't dance with you here
I just won't let my partner sit out for three or more dances when she has no chance of getting a dance
Due to the lack of fellas and the existing men staying fixed to their partners
Am I being fair? Or am I looking out for those I care for?
Look Ladies, without being pedantic, well I hope I am not
If you want to dance with me, as a bloke, get to know me first before asking me
I really don't mind if you ask - but accept that I may say NO
There are genuine reasons, so don't be offended.
Everyone gives off body language saying whether they want to dance or not
If you see me look away or run away from you, it's likely I don't want to dance with you
If my partner is gripping me tightly, I'm being saved from someone I don't want to dance with
That's life
We are all grown up's now
Not everyone wants to dance with each other - surprise, surprise
Saying that, we should give people a chance
If you are dancing 'way above your station' though, don't be surprised that you get avoided
Who is brave enough to write a poem about how they feel?
