Tango Foundations course, September - October 2014, North London

We're running a new 6-week intensive "Tango Foundations" course at our North London Mill Hill venue, starting in September 2014. This course will cover all the basic elements of Argentine Tango, and at the end of the course attendees should be comfortable with dancing Tango socially.

  • Dates: Every Wednesday: 3rd September - 8th October.
  • Times: 8:30pm - 9:30pm, followed by normal social dancing from 9:30 - 10:30pm.
  • Cost: Course cost £30 per person or £50 per couple.

(The course runs in parallel to our normal Learning Tango lessons.)

The schedule

  • 3rd September : Week 1: Basic connection, embrace and walk.
  • 10th September : Week 2: Sidesteps, weight changes, rock steps.
  • 17th September : Week 3: Pauses and pivots.
  • 24th September : Week 4: Ochos and giros.
  • 1st October : Week 5: Cross and tempo changes.
  • 8th October : Week 6: Musical interpretation.

    The course includes free entry to the social dancing from 9:30pm - 10:30pm, which allows you to review and practice the concepts you have learnt in the afternoon classes.

The Venue

St. Paul's Church has a lovely sprung dance floor, with a large hall, and full facilities including plenty of parking.

By public Transport

From Mill Hill East Tube Station (Northern Line), take the 240 bus in the direction of Edgware. Alight at either the Mill Hill School or The Three Hammers Public House stop.

From Mill Hill Broadway (First Capital Connect), take the 240 bus (stop outside WH Smith) in the direction of Golders Green. Alight at either the Mill Hill School or The Three Hammers Public House stop.

Parking

There is plenty of free parking on the road outside the venue.

NOTE: the three spaces immediately outside the venue are reserved parking until 8:45pm.
