Ode To Tango Al Fresco

14th February 2010

I wandered lonely as a Tanguero proud
That floats on high o'er move-monster Nuevos,
When all at once I saw a crowd
A host of dancing Milongueros;
Along the boardwalk, beneath the trees,
Ten thousand dancing in the breeze.

The muggles beside them danced, but they
Outdid the sparkling tourists in glee: --
With floorcraft our crowd was au fait
In such a friendly company:
I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thought
What wealth the dance to me had brought:

For oft when on Youtube I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude,
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the lovely girls.
